Accessibility statement

We want Pystyy to be usable by everyone. The target level is WCAG 2.2 AA.

The site is built with semantic HTML, supports keyboard use and visible focus states, and form errors are announced to screen readers as well. The pages work in both light and dark colour schemes.

How we have tested

Accessibility is tested automatically with the axe tool as part of the release process: every change is run against the WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 rules at levels A and AA. The check covers the home page, provider search, the task list, sign-in and the information pages, in both light and dark colour schemes. We also check that every element reachable by keyboard shows a focus state.

The most recent full check was made on 7 August 2026. The contrast problems found then — the footer, the unread-notification badge and form error messages — have been fixed.

What the testing does not cover

Automated testing finds an estimated third of accessibility problems. It does not tell us whether image descriptions are meaningful or whether the order of content is logical. We have not commissioned an external audit and have not tested the site with people who use screen readers.
