Pricing and prices
Using Pystyy is free. This page explains what determines the price of the work itself, and how to compare offers.
The service is free to use
Creating a profile, posting tasks, sending offers and messaging are free for both clients and providers. Pystyy takes no commission on agreed work and handles no payments. You pay the agreed price directly to the provider, and because we take no share, we have no reason to favour a more expensive offer either.
What the price is made of
The same job costs different amounts in different places, and the reason is not arbitrary. The price usually rests on these:
- Scope and duration. A one-bedroom flat and a townhouse are not the same clean, and a single shelf is not the same job as fitting out a kitchen.
- Regularity. A clean every second week is predictable work for a provider; a one-off deep clean is not. Recurring work often earns a lower hourly rate.
- Tools and materials. Some providers bring their own, some use yours. Ask about this separately — it can explain tens of euros between two otherwise identical offers.
- Travel. Within the same city, travel rarely shows in the price; a neighbouring municipality usually means a travel charge.
- Timing. Evenings, weekends and urgent schedules typically cost more than a weekday that can be planned calmly.
- The provider's legal form. A company or sole trader adds VAT; a private person does not. So always compare final totals, not hourly rates alone.
- Waste and transport. On moves and garden work, tip fees and a trailer can be separate costs.
Four ways to price
The provider picks a pricing type for their offer and states it plainly. The types differ in who carries the risk of how long the work takes:
- Hourly. You pay for the hours worked. Fair when the amount of work is hard to judge in advance — but ask for an estimate of the hours so you know the order of magnitude.
- Fixed. An agreed sum for the whole job. You know the final price in advance, and the risk of the work running long sits with the provider.
- Estimate. An indicative sum that firms up once the provider sees the place. Agree in advance what happens if the estimate is exceeded.
- To be agreed. The price is not yet settled and will be discussed. Common for specialist work that cannot be judged from a description.
Indicative price ranges
The figures below are general market prices in Finland — not Pystyy's own prices and not promises. They exist only to give a sense of scale: the real price comes from the offer, and it may fall outside the range in either direction.
| Home cleaning | €25–40 /h |
|---|---|
| Deep clean or move-out clean | €30–50 /h or a fixed price |
| Window cleaning | often a fixed price per window or property |
| Moving help | €35–60 /h, often as a team of two |
| Furniture assembly | €30–50 /h or a fixed price per item |
| Garden and outdoor work | €30–50 /h depending on equipment |
| Licensed work (electrical, plumbing) | clearly higher; qualification costs |
VAT is included in these figures where the provider is VAT-registered. Always check the offer for what the price covers.
The household deduction lowers the real cost
Much work done in the home qualifies for the Finnish household deduction, which returns part of the labour cost through taxation. The deduction does not cover materials or travel, and generally requires the provider to be in the prepayment register and you to hold a receipt or invoice. The amount and the terms change from year to year, so always check them with the Tax Administration. We mark a provider's profile once we have checked the register entry, and state when that check was made. ytj.fi
How to compare offers
The cheapest offer is not automatically the best value. Before choosing, look at these:
- What the price includes: tools, materials, travel, waste removal.
- Whether the price is hourly or fixed, and what happens if the work runs long.
- Whether VAT is included.
- Whether the provider is in the prepayment register, if you intend to claim the household deduction.
- What previous clients said about this particular kind of work.
- How quickly the provider replies, and how clearly they describe what they will do.

In the future
Paid extras may appear later, such as company accounts for several employees. They will be announced separately before launch, and the order of search results is never for sale.
